When I decided back in 2015 that I was serious about doing this as a business, I knew I wanted a name that could incorporate many different fields into one. After a few months of brainstorming I came up with Fantasy Studios, and have loved it since. However, in 2023 I went through the process of registering my business name and realized that “Fantasy Studios” had been taken long before I was even born; so I decided to add ‘Oasis’ to the end of it, and now I feel like it fits my business goals a lot better!
How I got started
Photography:
Growing up with a father who is a photographer, I have always been interested in modeling and love being in front of the camera. I began modeling for him casually when I was 12 years old. By the age of 15, I started to become more interested in the other side of the camera; after accompanying a photographer friend of mine on a photo walk in 2015 I found my passion for photography and creating beautiful, unique, authentic images.
Hair & Makeup:
I remember becoming interested in hair and makeup at a very young age. I started out by watching makeup and hair tutorials on YouTube and would try to recreate the looks with the little amount of makeup that I had at the time. Through competing in pageants, I received hair and makeup training from professional artists which deepened my interest and passion for doing hair and makeup, and encouraged me to take this skill into my own hands. I have since been invited to take my hair and makeup talents onto stages for school plays, my favorite being ‘A Twisted Peter Pan Tale’, and to the community theater for ‘The Addams Family’. In December of 2020 I decided it was finally time to take the leap and start schooling through QC Makeup Academy and received my certification for both Hair Styling and Makeup artistry in 2022. Bringing these passions to my business, it is my goal to help other women and girls feel and look their best by gently enhancing their natural beauty!
Massage Therapy:
Another huge dream of mine has always been to pursue massage therapy; and in March of 2022 I decided to send in my application to Mount Royal University for their massage therapy program. I have now completed over 1000 hours in the program, am registered as a Student member with the NHPC, and am set to graduate in August 2025. I am incredibly excited to be offering student massage therapy appointments at a local wellness center, keeping with the affordability goal.

For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with getting dressed up. All of the dresses, shoes, tiaras, makeup, and everything else that had to do with beauty. From my first jazz dance recital when I was about 6 or 7 and watching the movie ‘Beautiful’ at the age of 7, I had always dreamed of competing in pageants.
When I was 16 years old I decided to go for it. I sent in my application to the Miss Teen Canada Globe pageant and didn't tell anyone until I was accepted. I told my parents and they were thrilled to come with me. That summer, August 2016, I flew to Toronto with my parents for this beauty pageant. over the first 4 days we had our regional assessment, and at the crowning ceremony I won the title of Miss Teen Alberta 2016; the best part of that night was that my parents got to be the ones to come on stage and present me with my crown and sash.
In the week following the regional competition was preparation for the national one that was within the same 10 days of being in Toronto. Preparation involved touring around and doing appearances with our new regional titles, practicing dance and walk routines, and getting ready for the final show. When final night finally rolled around, I ended getting called for the title of Miss Teen Canada Charity 2016 and was thrilled! This being a national title gave me the ability to go international.
In April of 2017, my parents and I flew separately to Dominican Republic for Miss Beauty International. I ended up taking home 2nd runner up, and awards for most captivating eyes and prettiest face.
After that I set my sights on Miss Universe Canada, this was 2018. Unfortunately for me, one of the requirements was to be 18 years old by January 1st of the year you're wanting to compete. So I put it on the back burner for a while and came back to in September of 2019 when they opened up the applications for the 2020 year. I was determined that nothing was going to stop me from getting on that Miss Universe Canada stage that year; and then COVID hit in March of 2020 and I started to question is I was going to get to that stage. After a couple delays pushing it back to October, it was finally competition time. Even though I did not place in the top 20 of this competition, I met some of my closest friends and I am forever grateful for them!
Before the rules of the Miss Universe pageant organization changed to allow women who have had kids, I got pregnant with my son and kissed the dream of Miss Universe goodbye. I spent a year at home with him and then enrolled in massage therapy school. About one year into that I decided that I was really missing the pageant atmosphere and wanted to get back into it; around this same time, the applications for Ms./Mrs. Calgary 2024 opened. I competed for my last possible time as a Ms. on June 8, 2024 as I will be getting married next May.
During the Ms. Calgary pageant I managed to collect 30 lbs of used jewelry for the charity organization Gems for Gems, this granted me the charity award. I also won the Miss salesmanship award, along with awards for best smile and best in spirit. It was such an honor winning all of these awards, and all of the other contestants are women I am so blessed to know.
I have big plans for my return to the stage but as a Mrs. next year after my wedding. I have committed myself to bettering myself in all areas of competition and truly putting my best foot forward as I represent myself, my hometown, my university, my company, and my love for the beautiful city of Calgary. I have shifted my perspective from 2024s bringing the city into the surrounding small towns to 2025s bringing my small town heart to explore the big city.
Shout out to my friend Wes Beiko for doing so many of my pageant photoshoots, from one even before this one and continuing to this day!
It was a very special moment, having my parents as the ones to come and crown me on stage. Almost 8 years later and this is still one of my favorite pageant memories to look back on.
It was an incredible honor to wear the name of my province across my chest, and to have won such an honor in my first ever pageant came as a little bit of a shock to me.
It was so much fun getting to tour around Toronto representing my title, my province.
The national competition came so fast! It was a surreal feeling hearing my name get called as they announced me as Miss Teen Canada Charity 2016
In 2017 Canada sent 4 representatives to the Miss Beauty International Pageant in Dominican Republic.
These ladies will always have a special place in my heart.
At the end of this week long competition I ended up placing 2nd runner up in the Teen division, and being given awards for most captivating eyes and prettiest face.
Competing in Miss Universe Canada 2020 was one of the best experiences of my life. This week became a turning point in my life; while talking to the judges I realized that at that time my life was made of up dreams with nothing tangible to present, so that meant I needed to put those dreams into motion.
These women are incredible and I am so blessed to have met and formed connections with each of them. Four years later, in 2024, and some of these beautiful empowered women are still some of my closest friends.
The swimsuit section of the competition is one of my favorites. It's a demonstration of being confident in your own skin and truly loving who you are.
Although I didn't place in the top 20 of this competition, I walked away with a lifetime of memories and a sisterhood of inspirational women.
I loved the sparkle of this gown! The evening gown competition presents the opportunity to showcase grace and elegance while sporting a gown that suits your personality.
Red has always be a power color for me, so I decided to fully embrace it for the personal fashion portion of the competition.
So far the Calgary Pageants organization has been my favorite to compete for. With a focus on their titleholders being the complete package of brains, beauty, confidence, public speaking ability and approachability. The emphasis on the brains and public speaking comes from their interview portion, and scholastic exam.
It was an incredible honor to wear this lovely lavender dress from Kismet Clothing & Jewelry in Calgary. I loved how confident I felt in this dress.
Embracing the summer vibes in the resort wear competition, getting to wear a vacation inspired outfit.
The evening gown portion is so much fun and always makes me feel like such a princess. I love how this hot pink tone looked on my skin and how it flowed when I walked.
Eleven strong, independent, smart and beautiful women came together in the spirit of pageant competition. The bonds that were formed and the friendships that were created are some that I will cherish for the rest of my life. There is nothing that can be compared to pageant sisterhood! I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many incredible women.
It was an incredible honor to be awarded the charity award. I received this award for bringing in a collection of 30lbs of jewelry donated by family, friends, and community members. All of this jewelry will get fixed up and polished, and through the Gems for Gems organization will be gifted to women in domestic abuse shelters throughout the city.
It was amazing having so many of my family and friends come and support me in this adventure.
Getting awarded the best smile award and being told it was because of how infectious my smile is, was a huge heart pull. I have always walked through life with a smile on my face, because I know how impactful a powerful smile can be on someone having a bad day.
This award goes hand in hand with the Best smile award and is a huge honor! Having a vibrant and radiant personality that brings joy to so many people in the world is one of my greatest points of pride for myself. I love making other people smile.
